What are other names for god and their meanings?

To many to mention but here are the 7 traditional names of God.





1. El - deity


2. Elohim (plural of El)


3. Adonai (the Greek Kyrios, Latin: Dominus, English: Lord) this was the Hebrew substitute for the unspeakable YHWH.


4. Yahweh (mistakenly translated Jehovah) "I am Who Am"


5. Ehyeh-asher-Ehyeh


6. Shaddai (the Greek 'Pantocrator' almighty)

Reply:Jehovah has only one name, and the pronunciation of it depends on the language you speak.





"El, Elohim, LORD, Ancient of Days, etc are titles the same as president, King, Master





1 Cor. 8:6 tells us there are many gods and lords.
