I have a question about names and meanings?

Do you think that it's just a mere coincidence that people's names take on a particular meaning as far as personality and how they are? Like for example, people with the name Nicole or the name Benjamin; if you really observe, it seems like all Nicole's are snobby and prissy because all of the girls that I went to school with that had that name were like that or all of the girls with the name Adrienne were always shy.

Do you think that what we are named has any determination in how we will be? Why is it that people that have the name Nicole same have a lot of the same personality traits and characteristics as other Nicole's?

I have a question about names and meanings?
I think the answer definitely is "Yes". Take nicknames for

example. Why do people choose shorter versions of their

names? They are and sound more informal. "Dave" sounds

different from "David". "Bob" sounds different from "Robert".

Katy sounds different from Katherine.

So yes, different names elicit different responses. If only

because they are shorter or longer syllabically.

Another reason I would say "yes" is because of the sounds

the various consonants and vowels different names require

us to say. Some "Z' and "Q" names have us say sounds

we don't probably say as often thus striking different

"chords" so to speak.
Reply:Not in my experience, I know several nicoles and they are not snobby and prissy. But of course they are from a different generation possibly than you are. Don't know anyone named adrienne and all the Benjamins I know are reserved but friendly.
Reply:I think its just a coincidence personally but it may be. I don'tt think you should name your children how you want them to behave though
