What is the name for word's that are spelled the same and sound the same but have different meanings?

I'm working on something and I need words that are spelled the same and sound the same but have different meanings. What are these things called?

What is the name for word's that are spelled the same and sound the same but have different meanings?
They are called homographs. homonyms sound the same like BLEW and BLUE, but homographs LOOK the same as well as sounding the same. I'm sorry I cannot think of any examples at the moment.
Reply:The Best Answer is wrong! Words that are homographs look the same but are *pronounced differently* For instance:

Wind (short i) can mean the movement of air;

Wind (long i) can mean turning the handle of a jack-in-the box

Looks alike but sounds different. Report Abuse

Reply:Bug-an insect

Bug-a volkswagen

Dog-man's best friend

Dog-an ugly girl (slang)

Copper-a metal

Copper-a cop Report Abuse

Reply:homonym

synonyms are words that mean the same thing
Reply:it's homonym
Reply:Synonyms!
Reply:Homonyms are words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings (a word couldn't be spelled the same AND have different meaning - it's the same word!)
